Brighton and Hove Food Partnership

Healthy people make a healthy city – that’s the belief of the Brighton & Hove Food Partnership, an organisation working towards a sustainable food system for the city

We provide a range of community-based food and nutrition services to promote a better understanding of the links between food and health, including:

  •   weight loss programmes that encourage healthier lifestyles;
  •   opportunities to learn to cook and grow food;
  •   better access to affordable, fresh, seasonal food.

The Healthy Weight referral scheme at the B&H Food partnership is partly funded by Brighton and Hove NHS and offers a range of services, including:

MEND (5-7 years & 7-13 years) – a FREE healthy lifestyle programme for children

Shape Up – a FREE healthy lifestyle programme for adults

Shape-Up at work - a healthy lifestyle programme that can be delivered at your workplace

Community Cookery Project - improve your cookery skills

Harvest - offers training for those wanting to grow their own food
