Our organisation

NHS Brighton and Hove is part of the NHS Sussex, which has taken on statutory responsibility for delivering our functions during this period of transition.

Our work is determined is directed by the NHS Sussex Board that meets six times a year.

Board members agree overall strategy and direction, priorities and how best to invest our budget, and are accountable for the organisation’s performance.

The Board comprises a chair and seven non-executive directors appointed by the NHS Appointments Commission, the medical director, and seven executive directors.

Our Executive Team provides leadership to the organisation and makes sure that Board decisions are carried out. The day-by-day work of the organisation is managed through our directorate and team structure.
